Privacy / a plain-language note
What the site measures, and what it does not.
Laser Bench Notes is a static educational website. Google Analytics 4 is optional and helps us understand aggregate visits and which guides need maintenance.
01 / Measurement
Aggregate visits, not personal notes.
If you allow analytics, GA4 can receive standard website measurements such as page views, browser/device context, approximate geography and referrers. We use those reports to improve the existing guides; we do not use this site to build advertising profiles.
02 / Boundaries
Keep private information out of the site.
- Do not enter names, email addresses or sensitive information into any on-page field.
- The site does not publish paid placements, active affiliate links or independent product test scores at this stage.
- Google may process standard measurement data under its own policies when analytics is allowed.
See Google’s Privacy Policy for Google’s own explanation.
03 / Choice
Analytics stays off until you say yes.
The banner starts with analytics denied. Selecting “No thanks” keeps the Google tag unloaded in this browser. Selecting “Allow analytics” stores that preference locally and loads the tag for aggregate measurement. You can also use a browser privacy control or content blocker.
